Kelda Technology Selected for Unreasonable Impact UK

Kelda Technology selected for Unreasonable Impact UK to tackle global problem of unemployment with its sustainable business model

27 November 2017 – LONDON – After a rigorous selection process involving hundreds of world-class companies from across the UK, Kelda Technology has been chosen to join ten other growth-stage ventures in the 2017 Unreasonable Impact UK programme.

Unreasonable Impact is an innovative multi-year partnership between Barclays and Unreasonable Group to launch the world’s first international network of accelerators focused on scaling up entrepreneurial solutions that will help employ thousands worldwide while solving some of our most pressing societal challenges.

From November 26 through December 8, 2017, these entrepreneurs on a mission to generate thousands of future jobs in the emerging green economy will learn how to scale their companies at the second annual Unreasonable Impact UK program.

Kelda Technology has shown impressive growth since commercial launch in 2016 and already has installations with some of the largest gym and leisure chains in the UK, taking advantage of Kelda’s cutting edge shower system that reduces water usage by 50% without any loss in performance.

During the two-week intensive programme, Kelda Technology will receive mentorship and advice from business experts and serial entrepreneurs, such as Tom Chi, former head of experience at Google X; Kamran Elahian, venture capitalist and co-founder of two billion-dollar companies; Roz Savage, the first woman to row solo across three oceans; Jon Whitehouse, Managing Director, Group Head of Government Relations at Barclays; and Paul Lockstone, Managing Director, Corporate Communications at Barclays – among many others.

The program will take place at a private venue outside of London and include two exhibition events in the city, where Kelda Technology will showcase their innovation.

Daniel Epstein, founder and CEO of Unreasonable Group, explains, “By partnering with Barclays, we are working to scale up solutions that address significant societal and environmental issues. Unlike most accelerators, we align with entrepreneurs whose ventures have already proven effective in market. By supporting technologies that work, we can help these companies grow faster, in turn accelerating the creation of millions of new jobs around the world.”

After one full year of programmes in the US, UK and Asia Pacific, Unreasonable Impact’s collective 35 ventures operate in over 170 countries, reach over 150 million customers, and already support approximately 10,000 jobs. To date, the companies have also raised and generated nearly $1 billion USD.

The second year of the partnership commenced in October 2017 with 11 impressive companies in the US. Now, the movement continues in the UK with 11 more ventures. [Company] will join this notable global network in its shared effort to create thousands of jobs on the frontier of the green economy.
