With conventional mixer & power (pumped) showers, only a small proportion
of the water used makes contact with the body, with the remaining volume
acting as propellant. This additional water, and the energy used to heat it, is
wasted. Mixer and power showers typically have a flow rate of 10-20
Ltr/min.
Kelda technology utilises an air pump (located in an adjacent space) and a
radical new handset design to efficiently propel a much lower water flow
with high-speed air. Typically, a flow of 5-6 Ltr/min will deliver a comparable
experience to a mixer/power shower.
By combining a low flow with a high pressure ‘feel’, our technology
provides a premium experience that generates significant savings by
reducing wasted water and energy.

Studies have found that consumers are often dissatisfied with the perceived reduction in performance of water
saving (restricting or aerating) showers, though many have an interest in using water efficiently for the sake
of the environment and to save money.
Unlike existing water saving showers, Kelda’s air accelerated showering technology isn’t about limitation or
compromise - it can turn a low pressure or flow shower into a quality showering experience.
- Compatible with lower pressure systems (including electric showers).
